Senior HR Business Partner - London
FTSE 100 Financial Services Organisation
60,000 to 65,000 plus benefits plus bonus
The Senior HR Manager will form a key part of the HR team and as such will be expected to play a major role in providing advice to junior colleagues, and supporting departmental projects.
The prime objective is to provide strategic advice and operational HR management, and work with the partners and departmental heads across the UK teams and all continental Europe to enable the firm to attract, motivate and retain high calibre staff to achieve business goals and global growth plans.
This will encompass:
- Leading on HR strategic and operational support to partners/key managers and their teams in the delivery of key people processes and initiatives - e.g. workforce planning, talent and succession management, remuneration and Long Term Incentive Plans, employee relations, retention and performance management.
- Managing employee relations issues, both operational and strategic, across UK and continental Europe.
- Leading the annual geographic reward review with Business Line HRDs, partners and departmental heads and advise staff and key stakeholders regarding participation in the Long Term Incentive Schemes
- Develop relationships with partners and heads of department that allow the provision of HR advice to move from purely operational to business partnering
- Support the delivery of key projects (e.g. staff engagement surveys and initiatives, succession planning, people strategy planning)
- Help support and develop a learning and development culture
Person:
- Considerable experience in an HR Business Partner role in a financial services or similar blue chip environment
- Degree level education or equivalent
- CIPD membership or equivalent
- Fluency in a European language a plus but not essential
- Excellent experience in managing annual fixed and variable reward reviews, as well as experience in managing long term incentive and/or profit share schemes (ideally gained in a private equity or financial services environment)
- Confident and experienced in dealing at senior management level
- Wide knowledge of employment law - both UK and EU law for application in continental Europe
- Experience with working with overseas and/or continental European teams; understanding and ably dealing with the cultural nuances of cross-boarder human resources
- Excellent experience in analysing learning needs and development trends and delivering development solutions at individual and organisational levels
- A self-starter and experienced in initiating and delivering on projects without supervision.
- International focus including flexibility to commit to frequent European travel
- Numerate and able to produce and interpret sophisticated analyses
- PC literate, especially strong skills in MS Excel
