PLEASE NOTE THIS ROLE IS INITIALLY BASED IN EDINBURGH UNTIL APRIL 2009 THEN PERMANENTLY MOVES TO GLASGOW.


Joslin Rowe are currently seeking an experienced payroll officer to join our client's finance team who provide an effective financial and management accounting service across the organisation with appropriate business systems and controls.

This role is to administer and deliver the payroll function across the business, handling multiple payrolls, payment of salaries via BACs, reconciliation and payments to HMRC and preparing month end payroll journals.

There will also be the requirement to review payroll systems and procedures to ensure compliance with current legislation and also provide support to the finance team in general when necessary.

Interested individual should have proven experience in this area, ( typically 3 years) with experience of running multiple payrolls, have thorough knowledge of PAYE, NIC and year end procedures. Also have good organisation and systems skills with responsibility for managing own workload with the ability to work to very strict time lines. A professional payroll qualification would also be advantageous.
