• Analyst, Compliance Operations - London, City

• City of London £15.00 - £17.00 p/hr Temporary

The Compliance Operations department is part of the Payments & Control division of Operations within this globally renowned and highly successful investment bank. The team has oversight responsibility for reporting to key European regulators and exchanges.

The position of Analyst, Compliance Operations has arisen owing to the significant changes in the regulatory environment brought about by the implementation of the Market in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID). This is a great opportunity to gain broad market and product experience and the successful individual will liaise with many other areas of the bank including the Front Office, Technology, Legal, Compliance and Operations as well as having interaction with the Regulators.

The specific duties of the role are:

-Responsibility for the preparation of periodic status reports
-Review of interpretation of regulatory commentary
-Work with various impacted business areas to help them to understand the new requirements - -Liaison point person for working groups
-Track and drive resolution of project issues
-Assist with creation of test plans and test scripts
-User system testing and implementation
-Impact analysis of Front & Middle Office enhancements

The role of Analyst in Compliance Operations is best suited to an individual with the following skills:

-Proven work experience in the Financial Industry, preferably in Operations
-Project management experience preferred
-Proficient in the use of MS Excel and MS Word
-Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
-Ability to use initiative and work with minimal supervision
-Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as a member of a team
-Organised, inquisitive and enthusiastic
