• Trade Support Controller

Trade Support - London - £18 - £20 per hour

This renowned international Investment Firm are looking for an enthusiastic Trade Support Controller to join them.

With a reputation for excellence in advice and execution on a global scale, this Hedge fund employ thousands of people around the world and have been instrumental in changing the face of the financial services sector.

Trade Support is responsible for activities including;

position and price reconciliation between Front Office and prime broker; settlement/valuation price validation; liaison between Front Office and prime broker to ensure timely resolution of trade breaks; set up and validation of new markets; management of the relationship/interface between Front Office and prime broker; UAT of new valuation system functionality; sign off for the valuation process.

The Trade Support department operates under significant time pressure, particularly in the morning; therefore candidates must be comfortable with early morning starts.

The overall purpose of the role is to contribute market based expertise to the department, assist in the daily running of the department and to assist with the integration of non ETD/FX processes to the department.

This role will see you:

- Reconcile positions, investigate and resolve any discrepancies.
-Check settlement prices
-Monitor FX curve data
-Monitor initial margin movements
-Monitor client commissions
-Update daily interest rates and manage monthly interest calculations
-Maintain broker/counterparty static data in both Front & Back office systems
-Ensure SLA cut off times are met
-Liaise with MI Traders, AHL Research, Prime Broker & System support areas
-Write and maintain procedures for the department
-Review current system and procedures and actively work to identify potential improvements and/or enhancements.
-Support the Senior Controller with all Trade Support issues.
