This excellent opportunity for a Financial Accounting Assistant has arisen within a highly respected Asset Management firm. Our client is one of the largest independent investment managers, and are dedicated to helping people worldwide build their financial security. The purpose of the role is to assist the Financial Accounting teams including daily posting of bank entries to the general ledger and accounts receivable ledger.

The key responsibility's for the Financial Accounting Assistant include:
- Preparing reconciliations for deposit/investment accounts and ensuring all items are cleared from all bank reconciliations in a timely manner
- Assisting with the monthly intercompany settlements, management of the Accounts receivable function and ad hoc monthly tasks
- Processing and accurately maintaining all necessary and appropriate accounting records for the designated companies within Europe
- Reviewing bank statements on a daily basis, coding of entries and posting into General Ledger for UK, Dublin and CE entities on a weekly, bi-weekly and monthly basis
- Preparation of bank reconciliations for various investment/deposit accounts for the UK & Europe
- Preparation of UK AR and GL reconciliations

The ideal candidate should have previous accounting or bookkeeping experience, with good working knowledge of spreadsheets (Excel) and a desire to further studies towards becoming qualified (CIMA or ACCA)
