This leading global financial services firm are Product Controller to join the Valuation Group, covering the European Proprietary Trading business. Our client operates in more than 50 countries it is a leader in investment banking.


The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Coverage of Proprietary Positioning including the following products: Structured Credit, Credit, Equities, Rates
- Work with the Front Office, Market Risk, Model Review Group and Finance on all valuation issues
- Responsibility for valuation of the portfolio and all fair value adjustments taken
- Valuation function lead on signoffs for new non standard trades
- Regular reviews of P&L attribution by risk attributes (i.e. Greeks) to confirm ongoing accuracy/validity
- Assess appropriateness of benchmarks and methodologies used in parameter testing and reserve calculations for the trading portfolio
- Provide technical product training and other ad-hoc quantitative assistance to line Product Controllers and other interested parties
- Verification of Day 1 fair value adjustments and establishing on-going verification procedures


Our client is seeking a candidate with Product control experience and has a Masters in Finance, Financial Engineering or other advanced degree in a numerical discipline is desirable is essential. Proficient in Excel, knowledge of VBA and Access is also required.
