• Overheads Management Accountant - London

• City of London £30,000 p/a Permanent

This renowned international brokerage service firm are looking for an Overheads Management Accountant. The successful candidate will be responsible for the production of management accounts overhead information. Our client is the leading broker of exchange-listed futures and options in the world. Its worldwide client base of more than 130,000 active accounts ranges from financial institutions, industrial groups, hedge funds and other asset managers to professional traders and private/retail clients.

The key responsibilities for the Overheads Management Accountant are:
Monthly duties:
- Headcount Allocations of group allocated costs
- Fixed Allocations
- Fixed Assets and Depreciation
- Purchase Ledger P&L postings review and corrections
- Monthly Headcount Schedule & Starter & Leaver analysis
- Calculation of VAT Accruals
Month end reporting:
- Review of Overheads- Check figures against previous month and analyse differences
- Collate Monthly Reports to department Managers using Access reports & Pivot tables
- Analyse & Comment on variances for each department report
Other Accounts
- Check all transactions in each account are correct and Accrue for any costs not received
- Prepayment of all invoices covering future periods
- Responsibility for monthly maintenance of Balance Sheet accounts
- Intercompany Accounts - Checking transactions in each inter company account and Inputting Invoices sent to us by the inter companies

The ideal candidate should have two years Intercompany accounting experience ideally from an FS environment. Ideally studying CIMA foundation/managerial level or alternatively AAT with relevant experience. Good excel skills, Sun and Access skills would be ideal.
