Top tier Investment Bank is seeking to hire a Manager to manage the PMO function in support of the 2008 Change programme. This Manager will help develop the function and coordinate/oversee the reporting for a number of key initiatives on behalf of the Operations functions, helping the various groups prioritise initiatives & implement them in a controlled manner, with no negative impact on day-to-day operations. In delivering multiple projects, you and the team will work closely with support groups and other stakeholders, including the Front office, Technology, Finance, Treasury and others. As the PMO Manager your responsibilities would include collaborating with peers in the other regional offices to develop the global reporting framework, working with the individual Project Mangers to provide accurate and timely reporting on the delivery of the 2008 Change programme, and communicating and tracking project status & programme level risks & issues to the GMIS Management team. Other elements of the position will draw on your experiences in strategic thinking, anticipating risks & obstacles, pursuing aggressive goals & continuously raising performance expectations to achieve excellence, people Leadership and the maintenance of a constructive, positive outlook even when plans are thwarted. You will need a proven track record of developing & running a PMO function, advanced communication, assertiveness, listening, influencing & diplomacy skills, and experience in leading a team, managing, coaching & developing a group of project managers & business analysts from within an Investment banking environment. Knowledge of Middle Office & Back Office processing (trade capture, transaction management, settlements, cash management & asset servicing) is integral to the role, as is a working knowledge of Derivatives, Equity, Debt, Stock Loans, and Prime Brokerage.
