This investment bank ranking among Europe's top 20 financial institutions, with a market capitalisation of over EUR 40 billion seeks an experienced Documentary Credit Clerk.

With excellent solvency, a presence in over 50 countries and a dedicated, professional workforce of 60,000 you will be a pivotal part of the documentary credits team. The team is responsible for assessing, checking and settling all forms of documentary credit.

Your specific duties will be:

*Advising/Confirming letters of credit.
*Checking of documentary presentations.
*Effecting of payments under doc-credits.
*Discounting/Loans/Financing.
*Obtain approval of risk where appropriate (Credit dept., Commodity Support, Loans Admin. Account Management)
*Ensure advices to clients are forwarded promptly.
*Check accounts and/or Nostro for receipt of funds to be used as cash collateral/blocked deposits.

As a prerequisite you will have at least 5 years solid UK Banking experience in a Documentary Credits environment, covering all aspects of Documentary Credits. You will ideally possess good Documentary Credits experience (with a preference of Export Letters of Credit). You will be a good communicator and able to prioritise your own work effectively.
