• Regulatory Accountant - London

• City of London £65,000 p/a Permanent

This renowned international Bank is seeking an enthusiastic Regulatory Accountant who will report to the Director and Head of Regulatory Reporting and Finance IT Support and will be responsible for a team of two. Our client provides personal and commercial banking, wealth management services, insurance, corporate, investment banking and transaction processing services on a global basis.

The key responsibilities for the Regulatory accountant are:
Ensuring the accurate, efficient and timely reporting of supervisory returns (FSA) for 2 entities: RBCEL and RBCBV Consolidated banking group - 35%
- Provide leadership to a team to meet the objectives of the function so enabling us to provide excellent service to our business partners. Management, supervision and direction of 2 members of the regulatory reporting team - 15%
- On-going development/streamlining of Regulatory Reporting processes to improve efficiency/accuracy and effectiveness - 10%
- Leading role in UKRR development with regard to regulatory changes - such as the remainder Basel 2, GLOSS and SLIM - 15%
- Support new business initiatives by involvement in work to identify solutions to regulatory restrictions, advising on regulatory implications and new products/businesses are correctly treated for regulatory reporting purposes - 10%
- Provision of support and cover for the Regulatory Team - 5%

Our client is seeking a Regulatory Accountant with Knowledge of FSA/BoE reporting requirements and their interpretation against business needs. Minimum 2 - 3 years experience and in-depth knowledge of BoE \ FSA reporting requirements - especially Prudential Supervisory requirements. Accounting qualification (ACA \ACCA \CIMA) and preferred risk background.
