An eminent brokers and securities firm seeks a top-tier operational risk professional for an AVP/VP role at their London offices.


Operational risk management is responsible for implementing an appropriate operational risk framework within the firm. Operational risk management is also charged with helping to shape the operational risk culture of the firm by working with business units and management to identify and develop the various operational risk techniques and methodologies and risk training and education to instil a risk aware culture.


The main duties/responsibilities of the role will be to support the director of operational risk management in driving the operational risk culture throughout the firm and assist operational business units in achieving the standards being set. The operational risk professional will also facilitate the process to capture, consider and report operational risk events, and identify appropriate monitoring tools and risk management techniques to identify risk.


Exposure to operational management information systems is required for this role, and the ideal candidate will demonstrate broad (high level) industry and technical knowledge in relation to the business model of the firm and its correspondents. Experience in people management and strong communication skills is essential.
