Cash Controller

Cash Controller - London - £17-£19 per hour
This renowned international Investment Firm are looking for an enthusiastic Cash Controller to join them.
With a reputation for excellence in advice and execution on a global scale, this Hedge fund employ thousands of people around the world and have been instrumental in changing the face of the financial services sector.
As part of the team you will be a pivotal member responsible for reconciling daily approximately 2000 bank and internal loan accounts, for approx 300 funds, across a selection of service providers.
These accounts are required to be reconciled within the team every morning, adhering to tight sign-off deadlines, using an in-house software package. The role therefore requires a start time of 7am in order to achieve these deadlines.
This role will see you:
- To support the team with all cash related issues and daily cash optimisation processes
- To rebalance monies between accounts depending on fund performance, financing deals, redemptions requests etc
- Initiating payments and undertaking various reconciliations
- Monitoring cashflows regarding new fund launches and fund liquidations/maturities
- Ensuring that investment funding restrictions are not breached
- Calculating funding requirements regarding various financing deals
Covering margin calls at Brokers
- Reviewing weekly deposits and money market positions ensuring that we are getting the best rate for the funds
- Liasing with Product Rebalance and Guarantee Operations teams regarding redemption and bond sale issues
- Calculating funding requirements on a daily, weekly and monthly basis for the Treasury Department
Monthly funding regarding client and manager rebalancing
- Reviewing and maintaining procedures
- Managing queries from both internal and external clients in an efficient and timely manner
- Assisting in the ongoing development of CMAP and provide support for the CMAP system administrator
- Reviewing current working practices and processes and works with the Cash Manager to automate/improve processes where possible
- Participating in ensuring that an effective Business Contingency plan is in place and that all systems and processes are tested from the disaster recovery site
