• Cargo Claims Adjuster

• City of London £30 - £35 p/a Temporary

A Global Services company is looking for a Cargo Claims Adjuster to work in the City of London, the role involves interaction with Claims Handlers in Lloyd's syndicates and London Insurance Companies, Brokers and External experts such as Loss Adjusters and Attorneys.

Key responsibilities

- Liaison with Brokers, experts and insurers both face to face and in writing
- Handling a variety of claims involving commercial business from differing parts of the world
- Making 'Lead Underwriter' decisions on claims under Delegated Lead Contracts for both Lloyd's Managing Agents Underwriters and International Insurance
- Partake in building strong long term client relationships
- Being an ambassador for the London Insurance Market

Skills

- Three years or more Cargo Claims Adjusting
- Good numerical skills
- Strong influencing and negotiation skills

The successful candidate will be a self motivator, flexible, and able to work under a reasonable degree of pressure. Also need to be articulate, well presented, and able to handle claims from a first advise stage to conclusion, flexible approach will be key to this role together with the ability to cope with different and sometimes conflicting priorities.
