The UK / International Checking department are currently responsible for supporting the Cash Equity and Equity Linked Trading groups, ensuring trades executed are agreed with the broking party they have dealt with, whilst ensuring trades are fed from the front end systems into the books and records. The Checking department also provide the link between the trading desks and the settlements areas.

The department is responsible for ensuring the following:

Matching UK Equity broker trades through Crest.
Confirmation of European Broker trades via paper confirmations or Market Match.

Reporting of unresolved T+2 queries to Trading and Operations Management and collation of statistics.

The control and clearance of various queues to ensure trades are fed in a correct and timely manner.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

*Extensive liaison with internal trading and sales desks to solve trade related problems.

*External brokers, both UK and International.

*Internal processing, Finance and settlement groups.


You will be a Confident and articulate individual who can work under pressure. You must posses the ability to understand process trends and challenge existing procedures to improve / streamline processing efficiency. You will need a strong working knowledge of Crest.
