This pre-eminent investment bank as one of the world's leading wealth management, capital markets and advisory companies, with offices in 40 countries and territories requires the services of an experienced results and standards driven Equity Calculation Agent.

The primary objective of this role is to help support Exotic Equity Derivative Trading team in London and assist them with all the Operational queries and bookings that are required in order to ensure client service excellence and satisfaction. The Middle Office is a centralised contact point for desk, clients, settlements and documentation areas to go to for resolution of operational issues that may arise. Part of the function will include working with the team, traders and technology to implement better controls and processes on many of the Equity Derivative OTC (Exotic Structures, Options, swaps) and Securitised products (e.g. Warrants, Certificates).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

The team will cover the following areas either directly or indirectly.

*Reviewing term-sheets to understand the pay off profiles/formulae of all Equity-linked EMTN / exotic trades.
*Calculating periodic coupon and redemption pay-offs, validating against RAM bookings.
*Announcing coupon / redemption details to all parties involved, including external paying agents and clearing house.
*Option Expiry on equity structured baskets - calculation of final payment and checks to confirm settlement
*Ensuring that all the underlying economics of new trades are accurately reflected in the trading systems and trade expiries are correctly reflected in the RAM booking.
*To understand market events such as trigger/discretionary calls, barrier options (Knock in/out), best/worst-offs etc
*Liaising with Issuers, Clearing houses, IPAs, traders and marketers to resolve any pending issues/queries
*FSA Transaction reporting.
*Daily reporting of all equity-linked exceptions to the FSA via website.
*Liaising with front and middle office to resolve these exceptions.

The ideal candidate for this role will need experience in supporting an ELT Trading desk and clients operationally in a previous role. You will also need an understanding of controls and implementation. You will also need a good understanding of the core concepts underlying derivatives valuations, the key factors affecting derivatives valuations and Elementary statistics.
