• Hedge Fund Accountant - London

• West End £30,000 - £55,000 p/a Permanent

This excellent opportunity for a Hedge Fund Accountant has arisen within a highly respected Top Tier Asset Management firm. Our client is a specialist manager of fixed income credit funds on behalf of institutional investors and high net worth individuals. Based in London with a current staff of over 180, it offers both long-only and alternative asset management products. The company is regulated by the FSA.

The key responsibilities for the Hedge Fund Accountant include:
-Co-ordinate the production of the daily and weekly NAVs (Net Asset Values) for a number of
funds and agree these with the administrator.
-Responsible for maintaining the accounting records of the funds and preparing their financial
statements
-Implementing a new investment accounting system which will meet the dual objective of
providing real-time P&L and risk statistics to the portfolio managers as well as facilitating the
sign-off process with the administrator.
-Need to be able to establish good working relationships with the Operations department, the
Risk and Performance team, the fund managers and the traders.

Our client is seeking a qualified accountant (ACA, CPA, CIMA, ACCA) along with experience of InvestOne or another fund accounting system is desirable but not essential. Ideally experience of fixed income credit products, gained in an investment banking, hedge fund, asset management or audit environment.
