A rare & prestigious opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Global Energy and Materials Analyst within this top tier asset management firm. The analyst will join a team of 23 equity investment professionals, based in London and New York. The team is responsible for managing assets in Europe and North America and the majority of analysts have global sector responsibilities. Our client has established a solid track record as Japan's leading asset management firm.

The key responsibilities for the Global Energy and Materials Analyst include:
-To cover the energy and materials sectors in North America and Europe.
-To arrive at investment ideas (buy and sell), by applying our investment process (see below) to
this universe.

Our client is seeking a candidate with a strong understanding of financial statements, as this is the major source of our fundamental analysis. You should also come from an accounting background first time passes are essential, and experience of auditing companies within the relevant sectors would be a distinct advantage.
