Our client is a leading Edinburgh investment house and they are looking for a part qualified / newly qualified accountant with strong commercial awareness to join their Business Performance team as a Business Performance Analyst. This is a key finance team who is responsible for delivering a step change in the quality and depth of performance analysis.

Role

The Business Performance team is responsible for the financial planning and analysis. This includes the annual business planning process, including the effective communication of their strategic objectives throughout the business; the preparation of quarterly financial forecasts; monthly reporting of key drivers of the business and progress against these targets; and ongoing business partnering to provide high quality performance analysis to a wide range of business managers, including their Executive Directors.

Assist with the production and analysis of monthly management reporting, including Finance Board Pack, Group Reporting, Cost Centre Reporting.
Assist in producing business plans and forecasts on a quarterly basis.
Supporting the Business Performance Consultants on ad-hoc/project work.

Requirements

Part/Newly Qualified Accountant essential
Financial services experience is preferable
Relevant experience within a Finance Decision Support environment
Experience in discussing costs/revenues/budgets/forecasts with Business Managers.
