With a reputation for excellence in advice and execution on a global scale our client offers a broad range of investment banking and securities products and services to meet the needs of institutional clients, companies and government bodies. They seek a Product Controller to work within the European Equity Derivatives and Fund Linked Products team. This is a brand new team within the company and a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to make their mark.

The product controllers primary responsibility is to validate and substantiate the trading, banking, lending and funding of assets and liabilities on the Firm's balance sheet with respect to Completeness, Accuracy, Valuation, Existence, Accounting and Cut-off.

Main responsibilities include:
-Reconciliation between front office spreadsheets and the back office p/l systems.
-Analyse, explain and validate P/L according to market moves, new trades and other influences
-Reconcile books to the general ledger at month end, with regard to USGaap and IFRS
accounting.
-Manage all marketing and risk provisions on the books to ensure accurate p/l reporting.
-Prepare detailed structured trade reviews on all complex products.
-Liaise with Front office and other end users as to process development

The successful candidate should be a Newly Qualified accountant (ACA) ideally with a mathematic background. Experience in derivatives would be an advantage.
