• Compliance Officer

• City of London £18.00 - £25.00 p/hr Temporary

Part of the worlds largest financial services group, my client is seeking a compliance officer with the solid compliance exposure to perform the following tasks:

*Responsible for Anti-Money Laundering and Counter Terrorist Financing monitoring - involves checking clients and ensuring that new and current clients comply with UK Anti-Money Laundering and Counter Terrorist Financing requirements.

*Conducting Country Risk Assessments ascertaining the risks involved in trading with companies based in various countries.

*Ensuring new staff are fully aware of the FSA regulations and that they are compliant with the MUTI training and competency rules -involves training new staff and ensuring that they have been provided with all necessary documentation; overseeing competency assessments, FSA registration, FSA deregistration and administrating the exam and training bookings. Providing training to newly FSA approved staff.

*Responsible for undertaking risk-based monitoring on a daily, monthly, quarterly and annual basis, to ensure adherence and compliance to UK financial Regulatory requirements.

*Assisting with and drafting compliance policies and procedures, researching into and reporting on regulatory requirements with opportunities to present to senior management as the role develops.

Person Specification

*A minimum of two years experience in a Compliance function

*Must have a reasonable knowledge of UK regulatory system

*Understand the regulations and risk based approach in relation to AML and client due diligence

*Exposure to MiFID beneficial

*Good working knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook.

*Interested in developing a career in Compliance
