• Trading Book Accountant -London

• City of London £30,000 p/a Permanent

This international brokerage services firm is looking for Part Qualified Accountant who wants to take their career to the next level. You will report to the European Head of Business Reporting and you will also liaise closely with the European Settlements Manager, the European Head of Risk and the European Head of Systems Development.

Our client provides competitive inter-dealer brokerage services in a multitude of global cash and derivatives markets.

The key responsibilities for the Trading Book Accountant include:
-Month end process- extracting trial balances from the RIMS trading ledger in all relevant currencies
-Validation of all movements and balances contained within the trial balance
-Maintenance of the SOX internal controls documentation relevant to the Trading Book
accounting process.
-Preparation of all balance sheet reconciliations relating to Trading Book activity
-Set-up of additional accounts and any amendments
-Improvements to the allocation of costs and capital

Our client is seeking a part qualified accountant with Financial Services experience and an interest in financial instruments and systems. This is an excellent opportunity for someone to put their accounting and systems skills into practice and at the same time gain an understanding of trading in bonds and equities.
