• Global Custody Risk Manager

• City of London £70,000 - £90,000 p/a Permanent

The role:

An excellent position has arisen for a Global Custody Risk Manager in this leading Financial Services Firm. The operational risk management (ORM) group is a control function across front, middle and back offices whose primary mission is to ensure operating risks are fully understood, adequately measured and pro-actively managed by business management team.

The key responsibilities for this role are
*Proactive engagement in business initiatives including acquisition due diligence, significant client onboarding, business engineering and new business integration
*Move the control agenda forward and partner with and provide guidance to business management, client services and technology and operations
*Proactively identify specific areas of concern across the operating environment and participate in deep dives providing a risk based opinion.
*Strengthen the controls framework by implementing process improvements
*Focus on Quality Assurance testing and "self-auditing" across Global Custody support functions


The Candidate:

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of the securities and custody industry with a background in risk management Ability to focus on key issues and drive initiatives to a conclusion and possess strong communication and analytical skills
