A Commodity Trade Finance Clerk is required for an international leading bank, providing a full range of services in corporate, SME, consumer and wholesale banking activities across Asia and the Middle East. The role is based in London.


The purpose of the role is to ensure prompt and efficient preparation of all trade finance activity for processing by the bank and provide an excellent customer service to all new and existing customers/beneficiaries.


Key accountabilities focus on trade finance: you will ensure daily maturities and import/export settlements are positioned and prepared in line with SLA & payment cut off times. You will prepare import/export documents for checking, and then send discrepancy notices/advice of clean documents instructions to clients.


The candidate will need to demonstrate working knowledge of general banking principals, as well as technical experience in the following:
- Import & Export Letter's of Credit (UCP 600, 500 & ISBP).
- Documentary Collections (URC 522).
- SWIFT messages
