Key responsibilities for the position of Project Manager:

Taking part in all stages of the development lifecycle, from project inception to delivery and post project review.
Providing the single point of focus between the business areas and all development functions
Ensuring the implementation of new projects from inception to final sign-off
Regularly updating the Project team and Management Group at weekly meetings
Ensuring that any delays or blocks in the project timetable are quickly identified and dealt with.
Agreeing project timescales with relevant business areas and assuming full responsibility for delivery to agreed timescales.
Negotiating with business heads and project teams to ensure proper priority is placed on work in progress


Key Skills required for the role of Project Manager:

You will be from either an Insurance, Financial Services or Banking background
You will need to work within a framework based on the Dynamic Systems Development Methodology (DSDM) and will need to have good people, organization and communication skills, and be able to ensure seamless liaison between the business areas, other projects managers, Business Analysts, the test team and developers.
Strong project management skills, with emphasis on working in an agile environment
Experience or knowledge of the Dynamic Systems Development Methodology (DSDM)
A wide technical background, with knowledge of web based applications
