• Emerging Markets Technical Valuations -VP

• City of London £70,000 - £90,000 p/a Permanent

Our client is a leading global financial services firm with operations in more than 50 countries. A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Emerging Markets Technical Valuations VP in the Finance Valuation & Policy (FVP). The group is within Finance and are organized along business lines including, Credit, Fixed Income Exotic and Hybrids, Rates and Currencies & Commodities.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the valuation control function for the Emerging Markets business unit. Products covered include Corporate & Sovereign bonds, CDS, loans, FX options, Swaps, Equity investments among others.

This Key role will see you:
*Review and approve new model releases as it relates to valuation
*Analyse of Markets, P&L & Risk on a daily basis
*Building/automating a price verification/benchmarking process including the calculation of fair value adjustments
*Working with Trading, Middle Office, Finance and Model Review to continually monitor the various valuation risks of the business and implement appropriate adjustments
*Understanding of valuation concepts as they pertain to financial products/derivatives
*Must have the ability to lead discussions with all levels of management, comfortable discussing issues with Trading / Senior Management.
If you are educated to a degree level (MBA/MSc) and have extensive knowledge of IR or Credit products/markets, including derivative pricing, risk, and valuation then we would like to hear from you.
