A Market Research Manager is required for a multi-asset specialist fund manager independent of any broader financial services group.


The role of the marketing team covers a variety of functions. Firstly, they aim to ensure that the firm's name is known throughout the industry; by utilising media contacts, through promotion and through networking, and to build on this to increase the client base and the levels of funds managed.


Reporting to the director of communications, you will be accountable for the origination of and subsequent analysis of appropriate and relevant research on: macro trends (demographics, economics, regulation), product trends, channel development, and competitor trends in the asset management industry in order to inform both the firm's product development agenda and marketing into the agreed channels.


We seek a confident and articulate individual, with sound, in-depth experience of marketing and product development in a relevant financial services environment. The ability to work at both a macro trends level (economic, social etc) and drill down into detail, both quantitative and qualitative is crucial; as is the ability to present analysis of macro and micro research in an accessible and engaging manner.


Sound knowledge of asset management products and the chain of supply, together with the interpersonal skills to build credibility across the business at all levels are essential.
