My client is an established provider of asset management, serving the investment needs of individuals, institutions and advisers, providing mutual funds, defined contribution pensions, segregated portfolios and multi-manager products. Due to recent expansion in the oversight team a compliance officer is sought for their site in Surrey. Responsibilities and duties of the role will include;

*Carrying out detailed monitoring reviews providing assurance that the business aligns with regulatory requirements.
*Ensure working papers are properly prepared and appropriate recommendations made when necessary.
*Ensure detailed and accurate reports are issued to senior management.
*Assist in the development of detailed monitoring procedures, appropriate monitoring tools, working papers, reporting standards and reflecting changes in regulations.
*Work with Legal and Compliance in identifying, planning and implementing reviews.
*Co-ordinate and review monitoring work carried out in overseas offices.

Ideally you will have previous monitoring experience within a funds environment and awareness of current regulations and guidelines. Strong communication, presentation and project management skills combined with robust analytical skills would also be advantageous. Lastly, it is desirable that you are a strong team player and able to adapt to a fast paced environment.
