Position: Senior Claims Assessor - Edinburgh

Fantastic opportunity for experienced Claims Assessor or Medical Underwriter looking to get into Claims Assessing.

Key Responsibilities of Senior Claims Assessor:

Responsible for medically and financially assessing the liability of death, living cover, waiver of premium and Income Protection Plan claims.

You will operate within defined targets, quality measures and personal authority limits to ensure that your decisions to accept or decline are made correctly and promptly in line with the companies philosophy and usual claims assessment tools.

You will be able to provide coaching and technical support to your colleagues and will have dealings with FOS, Reassurers, Legal, Actuarial, Compliance and Marketing departments

You may also be required to attend industry functions.


Key skills required for role of Senior Claims Assessor:

Medical & Financial Claims Assessment or Underwriting experience with authority limits
Complaint Handling
Experience of dealing with sensitive issues requiring demonstration of empathy and sympathy skills.
