• Statutory & Tax Manager - London

• City of London £65,000 - £80,000 p/a Permanent

This excellent opportunity for a Statutory and Tax Manager has arisen within a highly respected Top Tier asset management firm. The role is responsible for managing a team of 3/4 people in London and oversight of 3 staff within the Finance team in India who provide support to the on-shore Statutory and Tax team. With a reputation for excellence in advice and execution on a global scale, our client is a leading asset management and securities services company, uniquely focused to help clients manage and move their financial assets and succeed in the rapidly changing global marketplace.

The key responsibilities for the Statutory and Tax Manager include:
-Regulated and non-regulated legal entity statutory accounts
-Preparation of year end audit files for group legal entities/units
-Liaise with external auditors during year end audit and quarterly reviews
-Preparation and analysis of P&L and balance sheet on a legal entity basis
-Accounting for UK and US GAAP differences and associated reconciliations
-Ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies
-Quarterly Legal entity reporting for Board meetings
-Review of reconciliations for certain balance sheet accounts
-Authorisation of month end journals for intangible assets, goodwill etc
-VAT returns and related accounting
-Calculation of monthly/quarterly corporation tax provisions

Our client is seeking a qualified accountant with excellent technical accounting knowledge, particularly UK and US GAAP. In addition strong management experience within a multi-currency environment is also desirable.
