Our client is an established provider of asset management, serving the investment needs of individuals, institutions and advisers, providing mutual funds, defined contribution pensions, segregated portfolios and multi-manager products.

The independent and privately owned firm requires an associate director for the investment compliance team. Investment compliance is responsible for providing portfolio and trading desk monitoring, compliance advice and support to the UK and European based investment teams, including fund managers, research analysts, trading desks, corporate finance and their respective support groups.

Reporting to the head of London investment compliance you will manage the day-to-day activities of the investment compliance monitoring team, including time-of-trade monitoring, regulatory advice, aggregate limit monitoring and various associated responsibilities, and manage working relationships with senior investment management, internal support functions, and the regulator if and when required.

Senior compliance monitoring experience within a regulated UK financial services business, with strong knowledge of UK financial services regulations is essential. We seek candidate with solid academics, preferably with further education in accountancy or legal areas, as well as professionals with other industry qualifications. Good working knowledge of equity and fixed income markets with a demonstrable interest in the investment process is also required.
