A Fund Management Assistant is required for an eminent investment manager.

Based in Kent, the objective of the position is to assist in the management of discretionary managed funds portfolios and the servicing of client accounts, principally by the provision of unit dealing for the managed funds team, client performance measurement, and management information and client support services as well as driving productivity initiatives.

Main duties and responsibilities will be to carry out the daily dealing, which comprises:
- Placing orders;
- Ensuring deals are dealt in accordance with agreed terms and that they are confirmed and uploaded to the settlements department;
- Checking ad hoc price queries from settlements department;
- Problem resolution and the elimination of errors.

Knowledge of economic fundamentals and the factors that influence returns on the major investment asset classes is required to succeed at this role. A good understanding of the workings of the UK equity and fixed interest markets is essential, as is an understanding of managed funds investment strategy.
