Assistant Compliance Officer

Our client is a leading global provider of alternative investment products and solutions for private and institutional investors worldwide .

It has a strong product development and structuring skills, and an extensive investor service and global distribution network.

The Investments Compliance team has responsibility for compliance oversight This role is based in London and forms part of the central Compliance team.
We are looking for a candidate who is ready to make the next step in their career in Compliance. Alongside the daily operational responsibilities, there will be a variety of project work in which the job holder will be expected to represent Compliance.

Responsibilities
Act as Compliance liaison point for the Valuation function, draft & maintain the Valuations Compliance Monitoring Programme (CMP)
Review newly aligned Product Management function and embed an updated CMP
Maintain Conflicts of Interest register and ensure that all relevant parties are aware of the conflicts and the manner in which they should be managed;
Act as Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) champion within the Compliance department
Pull together the various Error policies across the Group and act as Compliance liaison on these issues
Conduct testing within the business and draft reports of findings from the reviews
Deal with correspondence with a number of Exchanges in relation to Trading
Act as an advisory point for the business
Additional ad-hoc Compliance tasks and projects


Requirements
Good understanding of Compliance and awareness of topical issues
Prior relevant experience within financial services sector
Capable of prioritising and managing workload effectively in order to meet tight deadlines
Confident decision maker
Excellent ability to build working relationships with all areas of the business
Flexible approach, comfortable adapting to a changing environment
Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Results focused - exhibits drive and tenacity in order to get the job done
