Reporting to the European Head of Resourcing and working for this fast growing European commercial bank this new role will be focusing on implementation and internationalisation of assessment products into different markets, rather than looking at design or delivery.

This is a management role that has overall responsibility for the establishment, design, implementation and standards for assessment within Europe and to support the Head of Resourcing, Europe as well as the Group Head of Assessment in developing and managing Group-wide assessment programmes and policies. The role ensures that assessment practices in Europe and across selection, development and talent are compliant with Group assessment standards and policies, reliable, predictive and provide good candidate experience whilst promoting the Employer Brand.

Role:

- Ensure the delivery of robust and innovative assessments through effective programme management techniques and approaches
- Oversee the assessment centre programmes in Europe (eg, Graduate and HR)
- Establishing and managing a Group-wide framework on governance and standards for assessment design, delivery, uses, outcomes and suppliers
- Undertake and utilise internal and external research to develop and implement assessments that are robust, innovative and provide good candidate experience
- Ensure that Europe assessments are validated to ensure they are delivering to agreed purpose and business benefit
- Undertake diagnostics to identify existing assessment practices across Europe, particularly for new countries
- Ensure that the Group-wide talent assessment programme is fully implemented within Europe and to manage the European delivery of this programme.
- Identify and agree local assessment suppliers in the region with Group Head of Assessment and manage the supplier arrangements
- Support implementation of the Group-wide leadership assessment PSL in Europe
- Ensure that job analysis activities carried out in the region conform to Group standards and practices
- Develop and implement local Europe assessment interventions, ensuring these conform to Group-wide assessment programmes
- Ensure that assessments carried out in Europe are compliant with Group assessment standards and policies
- Oversee the Group-wide talent assessment programmes in Europe
- Oversee the HR assessment programme in Europe

Cultural awareness is an important part, with the need to be aware of the context of assessment internationally and adapting this to different cultures.
Cross-border experience is essential, and evidence of strong stakeholder management is key with the role being quite project based.

Person:

- Strong influencing and senior stakeholder management
- Ability to programme manage across divisions and geographic boundaries
- Culturally sensitive given the nature of the geographical scope of European countries
- Senior consultancy experience within a large corporate or consultancy
- Design and implementation experience of assessment for a range of employee groups
- Developing and managing large scale projects
- Policy development and implementation
- Local European market experience
- Design of online tests using multi-media channels
- MSc in Occupational Psychology (UK) or equivalent
- Chartered Psychologist
- Assessment design experience
- Understanding of and working with online testing
- Understanding and use of psychometric tests
- Assessment validation experience
- Talent assessment experience
- Leadership assessment experience
