Investment Performance Analyst required for a firmly established fund manager regarded as premier organisation to work for offering its staff a competitive package. The role of the performance measurement function is to provide information, analysis and understanding of investment performance to the firm's management, clients and client consultants on a regular basis. In this role you will be part of a small team and report directly to senior management .

The Investment Performance Analyst will be responsible for the calculation of individual client performance and the update, calculation and maintenance of composite returns as well as responding to performance related queries and ad-hoc requests from both internal and external sources. These generally relate to historical return analysis and performance attribution over varying time frames. To that end knowledge of performance calculation and performance attribution methodology is essential. A basic knowledge of financial markets is crucial as we see this as key to understanding drivers of portfolio return.

To be considered for the Investment Performance will possess a numerate/analytical degree (or equivalent industry experience) but above all else will be demonstrably numerate and accurate and pay close attention to detail. In addition to practical knowledge of performance calculation and attribution methodology as already stated you will also have excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel; clear communication in English, both written and orally; and the ability to work to tight deadlines. Knowledge of the Eagle Investment Systems Performance module would be an advantage, though not a requirement. You must be as comfortable working as part of a team as you are individually, and possess a flexible and adaptable approach to see tasks through from start to finish.

This post is rewarding although very busy at times which means you will need to be highly organised and able to remain calm and diplomatic when faced with pressurised situations.
