This is a rapidly growing private client/institutional stockbroker and corporate finance house focusing on all UK equity markets and new issues, and is authorised and Regulated by the Financial Services Authority and is a Member of the London Stock Exchange.


You will be responsible for applying your strong commercial knowledge whilst researching, preparing and writing a range of reports that will serve to inform our current and potential clients as well as the information requirements of staff within the business.

More specifically, with a background within a similar role and strong business knowledge of the small cap sector, you will be comfortable in researching and producing reports, pathfinder research notes, fact sheets and verification notes on a range of quoted companies, as well as other interesting and topical subject matters.

The Individual
Successful candidates will have at least 3 years experience in a similar role, working as an Investment Analyst for an investment house or research-led company, covering smaller/mid cap UK companies and writing in-depth research notes.

The preferred candidate will possess:

at least 3 years experience as an Investment Analyst or similar role in the UK small/mid cap sector
a strong academic background in Mathematics/Economics/Business Studies
the CFA charter, or be working towards CFA qualification, or possess equivalent experience/qualifications
sell-side experience preferred
a high level of proficiency in the use of MS Office and the Internet
the ability to thrive in a fast moving and demanding working environment
ambition, focus and flair
a hard work ethic with strong attention to detail
