A S enior T ax A nalyst is required for an eminent international investment bank. The role is based in London.


Asset services processes dividends and coupons for securities traded on the main European markets by the firm. The tax operations group is responsible for the processing and collection of withholding tax reclaims, calculation of the inland revenue SX1 obligations, payment and collection of manufactured overseas dividends, issuing and collection of appendix C documentation as well as contributing to the stock loan trading profit/loss calculation.


The successful candidate will be working in a team of professionals within tax operations, and will be liaising with various areas of the firm, including finance, the stock loan trading desk and the dividend/corporate actions processing teams.


The role requires the individual to possess advanced excel skills (advanced formulas and macros) and analytical mindset to compare and manipulate large sets of data. The individual will be required to provide timely and accurate tax related P&L reports to both finance and the trading desk.


Previous tax experience would be beneficial but is not a requirement. Previous experience of tax reclaims and manufactured overseas dividends withholding tax is highly desirable.
