• Accountant - Asset Management & Commodities

• West End £40,000 - £50,000 p/a Permanent

One of the largest international banking networks with strong positions in Asia and a significant presence in the United States are now seeking an Accountant - Asset Management & Commodities. The Financial Accounting team's responsibilities include financial accounting and statutory reporting for in excess of 50 UK and overseas legal entities, including a number of FSA regulated companies.

The key responsibilities for the Accountant - Asset Management & Commodities include:
-Cover a portfolio of companies within the business support section of the Financial Accounting
team.
-Responsible for the provision of support to the Asset Management business line, whilst meeting
monthly financial and annual statutory reporting requirements as well as regular control
reporting.
-This will encompass the production of month end Asset Management results to strict deadlines,
completion of the executive reporting pack and reporting to head office in Paris.
-Responsibility for the production of month end accounts for a Commodities financing company
for consolidation at Group level and liaison with the business to ensure accurate reporting.
-Responsibility for all accounting and control aspects for a number of other UK legal entities.

The ideal candidate should be a qualified accountant with good grasp of basic accounting principles and hands-on approach. Experience of Financial Services and good business knowledge would be an asset and you should also have experienced in the preparation of statutory accounts.
