This excellent opportunity for an Assistant Manager has arisen within a highly respected top tier financial services organisation. The purpose of the role is to manage the team within the Accounting Service Department to achieve exceptional reporting standards for 2 Group Finance companies. The 2 companies borrow from the market by issuing MTN's & ECP and lend to group companies. Accounting services provided include bookkeeping, reporting monthly results, preparation of financial statements & co-ordination of external audit.

The key responsibilities for the Assistant Manager include:
-Manage team of 2 personnel (1 qualified Accountant, 1 PQ Accountant) to ensure timely and
accurate completion of accounting service requirement.
-Liaise with external auditors to plan and co-ordinate audits for each company.
-Continually apply and review accounting treatments under Local GAAP & US GAAP.
-Assist in any necessary change of accounting system.
-Business travel required (Netherlands).
-Authorise expense payments
-Staff recruitment
-Liaising with 2 companies to agree best practice

Our client is seeking a qualified accountant (ACCA, CPA) with experience in project management and business development and managing a medium sized department. You should also have excellent knowledge of financial instruments and accounting treatments (UK GAAP & US GAAP) eg interest rate & currency swaps used for hedging purposes
