An equity settlements analyst is required for a leading international investment bank. The role is based in London.


The equity settlement desk is responsible for the settlement of all trades executed by the bank in domestic equity products, and entered into London-based systems for processing. The primary focus of the desk is on equity cash products, including stock loan, settling through the bank's established domestic settlement agent network or via direct memberships with central security depositories.


The area of responsibility of the desk is throughout the lifecycle of the trade, from trade date through to final settlement, and will include the ultimate reconciliation of the resultant stock/cash positions.


The successful individual will be required to learn all aspects of equity settlements, including stock loan settlement, but will initially be responsible settlement of executions in European markets. The candidate will be maintaining high standard of intended settlement date success rates, ensuring maximum STP is achieved.


Prior experience processing European equity settlements is required, and the candidate will demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the life cycle of a trade and the exceptions requiring interaction from settlements desks. The individual must be professional at all times, self motivated, conscientious and able to take ownership and responsibility.
