• Financial Research Analyst, London

• City of London £60,000 - £70,000 p/a Permanent

The Role
An exceptional Financial Research Analyst is required by a Financial Risk Management group.
The role will be a combination of qualitative and quantitative research which ultimately leads to published research. This includes gathering and interpreting macroeconomic and sector specific data, and most importantly financial statements, as the analyst develops and produces specific industry and company reports. The role also involves frequent client interaction.

Key responsibilities include:
* Rigorous analysis of public company financial data, news and other information to identify public companies that may be experiencing operational deterioration but are masking it via aggressive or unusual accounting practices
* Publish high-impact reports to be delivered to investment managers, insurance underwriters, regulators, law firms and others detailing our research findings and investment thesis
* Communicate with clients regarding companies analyzed, industry issues or accounting topics of interest
* Collaborate with other members of industry sector teams and support senior analysts to develop research ideas

The Candidate
The ideal candidate will have a business or accounting degree and/or CFA, CPA, strong knowledge of financial markets and research, excellent written and oral communication skills, and ability to work well within a team environment.
