A portfolio manager is required for a bespoke, renowned private bank. The role is based in London.


The main objective of the job is to work as part of a team marketing and promoting the bank's investment services and managing the portfolios of new and existing clients in line with the house investment strategy.


Principal duties and responsibilities will involve the handling all aspects of client relationship concerning investment matters. You will be applying house strategy to new and existing clients, having regard to clients' specific requirements and objectives. You will be promoting and marketing the bank's investment services, working closely with a team of banking and financial planning specialists.


Ideally you will be educated to degree level (or equivalent) with a high standard of numeracy and literacy. Candidates should already be in a similar position and have good experience in managing discretionary portfolios for a UK institution. Other qualifications such as the securities institute diploma are desirable.


Portfolio managers are encouraged to sit further qualifications such as the recently introduced SII masters in wealth management.
