• Principal Manager Treasury Accounting

A principal manager is required for a leading European investment bank. The role is based in London.


The treasury accounting team is responsible for all financial reporting associated with the bank's treasury business, from preparation of daily trader P&Ls through to monthly management accounts and the annual financial report, together with all accounting notes and disclosures. A suitable candidate is sought to assume day-to-day managerial responsibilities for this team, which comprises several qualified chartered accountants.


Key responsibilities and deliverables will be to acquire a thorough understanding of the different business activities undertaken by treasury to ensure financial and management reporting is appropriate for both financial statement preparation and the requirements of senior management in treasury. You will manage the workflow within the treasury accounting team to ensure that there is sufficient depth of knowledge and cross-training within the team so that all key tasks can be performed.


The ideal candidate will be of graduate calibre, a chartered accountant, with preferably three years' or more PQE in a fixed income and derivatives reporting capacity. A strong understanding of fixed income and derivative products and pricing thereof is essential. Managerial experience is preferable but candidates with appropriate experience seeking first managerial role will be considered.
