• Brokerage, Clearance & Exchange Controller - VP

• City of London £70,000 - £90,000 p/a Permanent

A brokerage, clearance & exchange (BCE) controller is required at a VP capacity for a leading global investment banking, securities and investment management firm that provides a wide range of services to corporations, financial institutions, governments and high net-worth individuals worldwide. The role is based in London.

The brokerage, clearance and exchange function within the bank manages the fees paid for these services to the firm's various service providers, including brokers, exchanges, central counterparties, depositories and agent banks.

Your responsibilities will be to develop and drive an agenda of process improvements across a large centralised team, to improve the validation of fees, the management of the risks and the controls around the processes within the team.

This position will provide very broad exposure to operations, business and technology groups within the firm on a cross product and multi-regional basis.

Accounting skills or experience in financial control and analysis, combined with a solid understanding of accounting practices for payables/receivables, is required for this role, with extensive experience gained in an operations and/or accounting environment.
