• AML & Transaction Surveillance Analyst

A leading investment bank in is looking for a AML / surveillance analyst to perform transactional surveillance for correspondent banking, analyzing the output of MANTAS and making recommendations to the MLRO.

The ideal candidate will have extensive AML Compliance experience, in the role of analyzing 'unusual' transactions identified by Mantas. The candidate must possess the knowledge and experience in transaction surveillance. The position also requires an awareness of current legislation and regulation relating to Money Laundering, including the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002, the Money Laundering Regulations 2007 and the FSA Money Laundering Rules. Experience in a banking anti-money laundering department working with other electronic monitoring systems is mandatory.
The duties will include:

Provide transactional surveillance expertise, particularly in the field of correspondent banking.

Assist the UK AML team in the investigation of possible instances of money laundering.

Review alerts generated by the system, including liaising with the business/regional AML colleagues.

Disclose any potentially suspicious transactions to SOCA.

Liaise with other financial institutions who utilize the MANTAS system, to share best practice and develop industry enhancements to the system.

Liaise with the internal team on identifying future developments and enhancements to the system.

Participate in ad hoc AML projects.
