• Fund Accountant - West End

• West End £30,000 - £40,000 p/a Permanent

A fund accountant is required for the alternative investments (fund of hedge funds) operation of a leading international financial investment consultant.


The alternative investment team researches, monitors and invests in hedge funds. Hedge funds are one of the fastest growing areas of finance. As part of their expansion, they are looking to hire a fund accountant to help support the fund management and fund-raising team.


You will be responsible for monthly net asset value reconciliations, fee accruals, weekly NAV estimates and daily maintenance of spreadsheets and monthly performance. The requirement will be to value all funds, while on a monthly basis working with the administrators to agree on all valuations. You will understand specific pricing requirements for valuations, and maintain investment portfolio records and reconcile daily cash balances.


Experience in a fund accounting role at either a fund administrator or investment manager is essential, and you will demonstrate strong analytic and problem-solving skills combined with good numerical skills. You must be flexible in approach together with the ability and enthusiasm to cross train in all functions within operations and fund accounting.
