Our client, a prestigious global financial institution require a senior product manager, likely to be hired at VP level to join their mutual funds division.



This role forms part of a team whose remit it is to develop and, through active post-launch product management, maintain products for the bank's business outside of the US. The product development and management team has three broad areas of responsibility - market research, product development and product management.



Product development is responsible for the initiation, review and evaluation of new product ideas and strategies, for assigned asset classes, based on input from sales, investment, the product management team, the product research analysts and well as their own market research and intelligence.



You will regularly meet with assigned investment group to review flows and positioning of the existing product range to assess the on-going viability and future potential of the strategy. You will initiate, review and evaluate new product ideas and strategies, which are sourced from: market research, investment teams, sales teams, consultant teams, and legal/regulatory developments.



The candidate must possess a thorough knowledge and understanding of the investment management industry in general as well as the mutual fund industry across the region (including the registration of offshore funds). You should have significant experience within the asset management industry in a product management or development role.
