• Docklands £25,000 - £31,000 p/a Permanent

Looking for a new challenge? If so, our client, one of the world's leading provider of financial services to institutional investors including investment servicing, investment management and investment research and trading are now seeking a Fund Accountant.

The fund accountant will be responsible for the preparation of the components for a Report and Accounts with some supervision and assistance. He/she may be able to prepare accounts for straightforward funds unassisted.

The key responsibilities for the Fund Accountant include:
-Preparation of Report & Accounts figures in SORP format,
-Preparation of accounting schedules to support figures included in Report and Accounts,
-Proof reading sets of accounts for arithmetical and typesetting accuracy and consistency,
-Explaining figures prepared to third parties such as Auditors, Trustees and clients,
-Preparation of monthly reconciliation packs,
-Providing assistance to more junior members of the team

Our client is seeking a candidate who may be studying for a professional accountancy qualification and who has experience of accounting for unit trusts or other collective investment schemes.
