Equity Trade Support - Docklands

An equity trade support analyst is required for one of the world's forerunning and highly respected investment banks. The role is based in the Docklands

The trade support role provides operational support to the cash equity traders.

Trade support is usually the first point of contact for the cash equity traders. Key areas of responsibility include:
- position keeping - the role will involve maintaining an accurate trading position on the traders' book, resolving breaks, and making the appropriate adjustments
- technical expertise - candidates will need to have a good knowledge of trade entry and clearance systems and be able to understand trading flows.
- market awareness - the candidate should have a strong knowledge of the market and the impact movements in the market can have on the risk managed.
- risk management - the role involves exposure to the highest volumes within the division. the candidate must therefore be able to demonstrate an excellent awareness of risk, by accurately managing and updating risk management systems on a daily basis and an ability to ensure the franchise is protected at all times.

Proven analytical, financial or mathematically ability is favoured. Candidates will need a solid knowledge of European equity markets, as well as market risk.

Key skills that will contribute to the success of attaining the role are the ability to work under pressure, excellent team working skills, strong interpersonal and communication skills, attention to detail and diligence, and excellent problem solving abilities.
