• Assistant Accountant

• City of London £23,000 - £26,000 p/a Permanent

European Lloyds Underwriter has an opportunity for a part qualified accountant as an Assistant Accountant based in the city.
The role will report into a Financial Accountant working as part of a team.
A key element of this role is be involved in overseeing the monthly close process for an European branch and monitor the quality of the Trail balance. You will be a quick learner and pro-active and can work on your own initiative.
As an Assistant Accountant you will have additional duties including:
-Posting of journals
-Substantial assistance with the main London ledger postings
-Involvement in reconciliations to source systems
-Assistance with the overall entity Trail Balance
-Assist with class of business reporting
-Preparation and distribution of monthly and quarterly timetables
Ideal candidate will be a CIMA, ACCA or AAT studier with experience preparing accounts in the Insurance Industry preferable or Financial Services Industry. Experience of Oracle Financials would be an advantage.
