Senior Collateral Manager - London
A senior collateral manager is required by one of the world's leading provider of financial services.

The senior collateral manager will be responsible for the monitoring and control of the liability and collateral position of the client portfolio. This incorporates the function of independently assessing each transaction submitted by the client to ensure that it falls within the approved facility terms along with making an assessment of the value and acceptability of collateral provided and the resultant credit risk position for the Bank.

- credit procedures / administrative organisation
- quality and efficiency development / staff education
- commercial responsibility
- cooperation / communication

Skills required for this position include having a comprehensive knowledge of all systems utilised within the Department, in particular those responsible for the monitoring of the client & portfolio liability & collateral position, a good up-to-date working knowledge of Letters of Credit (including more complex structures such as red / green clause, escalation clauses etc), documentary collections, guarantees and the international rules governing such products, payment techniques, commodity / trade finance and off balance sheet structures.

Extensive credit & collateral management department or alternative / relevant experience within operational / risk management areas is essential as well as being motivated, a team player, have acceptability as well as the ability to influence others, make decisions and be self-reliant.
